War Stories

On 1 June 1866, hundreds of Fenian soldiers crossed the Niagara River invading the small hamlet of Ridgeway and township of Fort Erie. Known as the Battle of Ridgeway and Battle of Fort Erie, we have transcribed a few articles written by local veterans on their reminiscences of those events. [See Fenian Raid]
