ROCHESTER WOMAN IS LAID TO REST IN FONTHILL CEMETERY

ESTHER ELIZA CHAPPELL DIES IN HER 77TH YEAR-MANY PAY LAST RESPECTS

Fonthill, Nov. 4-The funeral of the late Esther Eliza Chappell of Rochester, N.Y., was held at the home of her nephew, F.C. Chappell, Fonthill, on Thursday, Oct. 29th. Miss Chappell was Canadian born, her birthplace being near Fonthill. She was born Nov. 14th, 1855. Her only brother Francis R. Chappell, predeceased her 16 years ago. The only surviving relatives are her nephew, Fred C. Chappell and family, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Chappell and cousins, Robert, Louise and maud Chappell of Toronto. She had made her home in Rochester for the past 35 years.

The Rev. H. Wood, pastor of the Baptist church, of which Miss Chappell was a valued member, conducted the service assisted by Rev. J.A. Dilts of the United church.

The deceased was tenderly laid to rest in the family plot in the Fonthill cemetery, amid a profusion of floral token of sympathy.
