Szabo-Suddenly at her home in Pelham township on Thursday, January 4th, 1945, Susanna Szabo, beloved wife of the late Louis Szabo, in her 70th year. Resting at the Sutherland-Thorpe funeral home, 152 Hellems avenue for funeral service on Sunday, January 7th, two p.m. Interment in Fonthill cemetery.

Mrs Susanna Szabo
The death of Susanna Szabo, widow of Louis Szabo, took place yesterday at her home in Pelham township, in her 70th year. Born in Hungary, the late Mrs Szabo came to Canada 20 years ago, residing for five years in Thorold township and the past 15 years in Pelham township. Her husband predeceased her a few years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Stephen Hallay, (Mary) in Hungary; Miss Julia Szabo of Toronto; Mrs Jonos Gere (Bessie) of Welland; three sons, Frank, Stephen and James, all of Pelham township; two grandchildren, Harvey and Shirley Gere, and three brothers and two sisters, all in Hungary.
The funeral will take place from the Sutherland-Thorpe funeral home, 152 Hellems avenue, on Sunday, January 7th at two p.m. to Fonthill cemetery for interment.

A large number of friends and neighbors yesterday afternoon attended funeral services for the late Mrs Susanna Szabo, widow of Louis Szabo, at the Sutherland-Thorpe funeral home, 152 Hellems avenue. Rev A.D. Sutherland of St Andrew’s Presbyterian church officiated and William Massey presided at the organ. Several Hungarian hymns were also sung, with Joseph Marcus at the organ and Bert Bajzos as leader.
Interment was in Fonthill cemetery and the casket bearers were L.Bogar, L. Szabo.B. Kertesz, J. Svob. G. Schneider and A. Kiss.
