SALEM [Welland Tribune November 6, 1943]

Salem, Nov 6-Salem United church services were held on Sunday morning by Rev James Hampson. Next week Sunday school will be at two, church at three o’clock.

Salem United church W.A. and W.M.S. will hold their November meeting at the home of Mrs Franklin Blanchard on November 10th.

Mr and Mrs Edward Hayward, son Leroy, and Mr and Mrs Ernest Brown and family were Sunday guests of Mr and Jack Hayward and family.

Mr and Mrs T.F. Neal and son Russell were in Dunville on Wednesday and called on Mrs Neal’s mother, Mrs Mary Logan.

Callers at home of Mr and Mrs C.E. Strawn on Sunday and Bill Grimwood, Mrs Frank Fleming and son Stephen and Miss Margaret Strawn, All of Niagara Falls; Mr and Mrs Kenneth Hansler and son Clifford of Welland.

Mrs C.E. Strawn is slowly recovering from an attack of influenza.
Kenneth Strawn spent the weekend with his cousin, Clifford Hansler, in Welland.
