FEBRUARY
It’s February now and winter is half over
And soon the cattle will be wading in clover
Yes half the hay and half the oats is gone
Don’t we all know that summer is coming on
Valentines day is coming and soon will be here
So will we give a loved one a gift this year
It could be chocolates or some other thing
Or maybe if possible a big diamond ring
February is a month where romance does bloom
Like the garden flowers in the month of June
Family day a time for us all to be together
We can all go skating sledding or whatever
Hot chocolate you’ll need after being outdoors
When you come inside from all of your chores
Only a little while and ice fishing is over
And the huts will be all moved onto the clover
Sit quietly and watch for movement in the pole
Then pull the big fish right out of the hole
The snow is frosty and is all piled high
But will be gone with the rain and sun in the sky
Icicles soon won’t be a problem hanging from the eave
The warm weather will see that from us they leave
Some will spend time reading to learn new things
While others will make something feeling like a king
Maybe some will stay in even though not tethered
To avoid the month of March with its stormy weather.
