LAST RITES FOR ALVIRA HAINES

Fonthill, Jan. 17-The death occurred on Sunday January 12 of Mrs. Alvira Haines, widow of the late Ruben Haines, at the Millard Fillmore hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. Deceased had been in ill health for the past two years, and was in her 86th year. She had lived in Thorold township until the death of her husband 24 years ago when she moved to Buffalo, N.Y. and has since lived with her youngest daughter Helen.

She is survived by five childen Mrs. Jessie Marsden of Crystal Beach, Mrs. Bert Weirich of Spencerport,N.Y., Miss Helen Haines of Buffalo, George Haines of Williamsville, N.Y. and Horace Haines of Fonthill. Five Grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren also survived. Rev. C.E. Randall officiated at the funeral services held from the Drake and  Barron Funeral Home in Fonthill on Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in Fonthill cemetery.

The bearers were Bert Terreberry, Irvin Barnhart, Arthur McClellan, Clifford Haines, Melvin Haines and Jack Marsden.
